ASEM Workshop on Diagnostics Technologies

The 11th ASEM Foreign Ministers Meeting (ASEM FMM11) in New Delhi in November 2013 had agreed that the dynamism of ASEM should find expression in tangible cooperation amongst ASEM members, with a view to transforming jointly, the challenges faced by our respective regions into opportunities for growth and sustainable development.

Technologies for Diagnostics has been identified as one of the 20 areas for tangible cooperation under ASEM. In this context, the Ministry of External Affairs of India, in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry, organised the ASEM Workshop on "Non-Invasive Technologies for Diagnostics & Treatment of Diabetes as a Lifestyle Disease" on Saturday, 4 February 2017 in New Delhi.

The event focused on addressing various dimensions of the disease and endeavour to showcase non-invasive technologies for diagnosis and treatment, while synergising the efforts at tertiary care for improving patient outcomes.

This ASEM Workshop coincided with the CII International Engineering & Technology Fair 2017 and the CII Health Tech Summit.
