The ASEM Customs DG-Commissioner meeting is taken place alternately in Asia and Europe every two years. The chairperson represents the result to the Meeting of the ASEM Ministers of Finance and the Meeting of the ASEM Ministers of Economy, with the objective of informing the Ministers of the activities undertaken in the ASEM Customs field.

The objectives of the meeting are--among others--to implement the ASEM Leaders' agreement on the facilitation and liberalization measures to harmonize and simplify customs procedures; to deal with illicit drug trafficking; and to develop closer cooperation among the Customs authorities in Asia and Europe.
