ASEM Forum on Strengthening Cooperation in ICT Research and Development: Promoting ICT Research for Development20 Jul 2010 to 21 Jul 2010
Bandung, West Java, Indonesia In the 5th ASEM Summit held in Vietnam (2004) and the 6th ASEM Summit held in Helsinki (2006), ASEM Leaders underlined the need to enhance cooperation on Information Communication Technology. The Forum will provide an opportunity for ASEM Partners officials and practitioners to discuss current issues regarding the development of ICT. The Forum is organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Moreover, the Forum also has the objectives to: - Encourage exchange of experiences in ICT research and development
- Enhance ASEM Partners ICT institutions networks
- Identify possible areas of cooperation
- Establish strategies and plan of actions for the strengthening of ASEM ICT research and development cooperation
